Welcome to Q2, everyone. If you’re caught up, I wrote a breakdown of The Pitt’s excellent finale for Elle magazine last week, which I squeezed in between back-to-back meeting days at my day job, an exciting upcoming interview for this newsletter, writing contracts I’m taking on with the hope I can kick-start a financial cushion to leave said day job, and all the regular normal human things. My nervous system apparently can’t tell the difference between juggling all of the above and intubating my 74th patient of the day in a bustling ER.
I was kicking myself after it was published: Why didn’t I remember the finale roof scene was a callback to the pilot? Why didn’t I mention Doctor Odyssey, which I’m hoping will be saved from probable cancellation? I try to be kind with myself, though. I try to remember my brain is in 56 different places, and I return to the strategy/vision board on how I can make quitting my day job work. More on that very soon.
Oh and in case you missed it, I interviewed Canadian queen legend icon Catherine O’Hara for the Cut, in which she unleashed her Moira Rose voice for me. I’ll have more thoughts on The Studio next month. Finally, I got a good laugh from the Severance cast at one of my little tweets, somehow. Happy watching!
