Announcements

Hi everyone! There’s actually so much going on (everywhere but in my life, specifically). I have been running on fumes in my work life for a while now but I can say that I’m making an exciting career shift as of October. Why does that matter to you? Well, I’m most excited about shifting this newsletter to accommodate more writing and TV watching. More on this very soon, it’s been a long time coming.

Second, I will be in Toronto for the Toronto International Film Festival from September 4 to 14. Don’t worry, not just for movies — they’re premiering a few shows of interest that I’ll be covering in this newsletter. I’ll be attending the premieres for Wayward, Black Rabbit, The Lowdown, Gandhi (who knew there was a sprawling historical drama about Gandhi on the way?), and seeing the Degrassi documentary. If you’re in Toronto and/or at TIFF and would like to connect, reach out to me on Instagram!

Further Reading

  • I had lots of thoughts on the finale of And Just Like That…, which I wrote up for Elle magazine.

  • I reviewed the first half of the second season of Wednesday for TheWrap, which I think is a decently good time but still quite silly.

5. Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story (Netflix)
